What does the Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN) actually do?
The traditional wood-based material veneer can gain in importance especially now. More and more end customers prefer this natural material because the ecological quality of products is increasingly being questioned. There are furniture surfaces, floors, Noise protection elements, spectacle frames, handbags, lampshades, mouse pads, smart phone covers and many other fine veneer products that people like.
In the future there will also be drinking cups, hotel room and voucher cards, clothing and shoes, crockery and cutlery made of veneer variants. Motivation for the IFN, founded in 1996 – which today consists of international member companies – has always been the motto “Do good and talk about it”. Thus, the great ideas and innovations of the IFN members are professionally brought to the public through classical press work and digital marketing.
With the extensive film campaign “furniergeschichten” and the photo campaign “I like veneer because …”, a high and constantly growing attention for veneer among opinion leaders, multipliers, architects, designers and of course end customers is achieved via the social media channels.
In addition, the IFN office is the contact for technical questions about wood as a raw material, occupational health and safety or in connection with trade fair participation. The raw material veneer is very efficiently used renewable wood.
We consider ourselves lucky to be allowed to produce it, trade with it, refine it and talk about it.
