This is an App that has been requested by yourselves to help create a better workflow between our One – Log Purchase App and the receiving of the goods in the Log Yard without the need for paperwork between the Log Yard Manager and the Office.
The One – Log Receival App is for use at the Log Yard to mark Logs as received. This is a multiplatform App and works with our iPod Touch Handheld device which comes with a Bluetooth scanner as well as a protective rubber case to make it more robust for use in the warehouse. It also works with our new Zebra Production device with built in scanner.
The App requires a WIFI/VPN connection in order for it to work as it talks directly to your desktop version. It works by creating a Receival and scanning the logs into the receival.
‘Sometimes the log is purchased with different dimension to the physical dimensions – Can the real dimensions be added in the App?’ Yes when you scan a log you see the Purchase dimensions and can input Received dimensions. Both dimensions will then be saved in the TIMBERplus system.
‘Occasionally we get the wrong logs delivered to us, how can we show this in the system?’ We have a feature called complain, scan the log input, the receival dimensions, add a remark and flag this as complain this will then be sent to the office to deal with.
In order for this App to work you will need a TIMBERplus system, WIFI/VPN connection, on premises server and a licence.
This App is free to download from the App store and the links can be found on our website. Currently this has been released to download in the Apple App store and Google Play store. It is available in German and English. Further releases for other operating systems and/or languages will follow upon request.
There is a flexible training options with this App. You can do it on site, or we now offer training sessions in our office in Hamburg. We also have ‘How to’ guides on our TIMBERplus WIKI page as well as phone and email. A remote support available too, after the training is complete.
