New Product TIMBERplus – One – Veneer Stocktake
Due to the popularity of our Sawn Timber stocktaking App we have been requested to develop the One – Veneer Stocktake App.
This is a multiplatform application and can work on Windows 10 desktop and mobile, iOS and Android, giving you a wide range of devices to use this with.
One – Sawn Timber Stocktake is for the offline stocktaking of Sawn Timber. The offline feature allows you the flexibility to find logs without having to worry about a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. The App synchronises with your TIMBERplus desktop system, to show all logs and hubs in stock that need to be found. Like our stocktaking module on our desktop system the logs are colour coded, and use the same colours.
Find logs or hubs quickly by using our Bluetooth scanner, if you have one of our handhelds use the built in scanner or by using the devices camera. Once the log has been scanned its status will automatically be changed to found in the App.
‘What happens if the log barcode is no longer readable by the scanner as it has been damaged?’ Not to worry we have also added the ability to search logs manually. Simply type in the first four characters of the log number and click search. You will then be present with a list of logs with those characters, scroll through the list and select the log in question. This will bring you back onto the stocktaking screen where you will also need to manually select found by clicking of the ‘tick’ next to the log, the colour will then change to green for ‘found’. We would also suggest that you go back onto your desktop system and reprint the unreadable label and attached this to the log. This process is also available for hubs.
‘What happens if I scan the wrong log – for example one on a sold pallet awaiting collection and therefore not a part of stock?’ We have added the ability to remove the log from the ‘found’ list. In the stocking screen there is a ‘+’ button, click on this button and it will change to a ‘-‘, scan the log again and this will be removed from the stock take. Do not forget to click on the ‘-‘ button to change this to a ‘+’ before scanning anymore logs into stock.
‘Am I restricted to just one device for the stock take or can I use several?’ You’re not restricted to one devise, you can use several devices at the same time to complete the stock take.
Once you have finished the stock take and have scanned all the logs or hubs, go into the synchronisation screen to send the data to your TIMBERplus desktop system where the administration side of the stock take will be completed.
For this app to work you will need a TIMBERplus system, Wi-Fi connection when synchronising the data, on premises server and a licence.
This app has been developed to make it cost effective for our customers, it is free to download from the app store and the links can be found on our website. Currently this has only been released to download in the Apple App store. Further releases will follow upon request.
