In recent years, we’ve watched a common practice emerge: more and more wood industry professionals are sharing photos of their veneer stock on LinkedIn. These posts give a glimpse into daily operations, highlight interesting materials and help companies connect with partners and customers in a simple, authentic way.
But behind every “quick update” on LinkedIn, there’s often far more work than people realise. Photos are taken on the warehouse floor, sometimes several times until the lighting or angle feels good enough. Images get transferred, renamed, sorted again and then uploaded manually. And despite all the effort, the quality still doesn’t always match the professionalism of the material being shown.
At TIMBERplus, simplifying everyday processes is at the core of what we do. So when we saw how much time our customers were spending just to prepare a simple LinkedIn post, we started wondering: could this be done better?
And more importantly: could it be done directly from TIMBERplus Web, using the images customers already have in their system?
This idea is now a reality.
Our new feature in TIMBERplus Web – Veneer Stock Info allows users to create a LinkedIn-ready post in just a few steps, all without taking a single new photo.
The process feels natural. You simply search for the veneer items that already have images stored in TIMBERplus Web, choose the ones you want to post and write your caption.

To make things eveneasier, species, log number and m² are automatically added to the text, though you can remove or adjust them to match the message you want to share.
Branding is also taken into account. Companies can add their watermark to the images and include key details such as log number, species, number of bundles and m² directly on each picture. This gives every shared image a clean, professional look—something that normally requires extra tools or manual editing.
In the end, you get a polished set of images and a ready-to-use caption, prepared entirely inside TIMBERplus Web, with no extra photography or editing required.

The value of this new function goes beyond convenience. It supports companies in presenting their veneer stock with consistent quality and accurate information. It reduces the time spent on repetitive tasks and ensures that the best images—the ones taken during intake, grading or documentation—are the ones used for public posts.
Most importantly, it gives businesses a simple

way to communicate more frequently and more professionally with their network, without interrupting their daily operations.
This first release focuses on veneer, but it’s only the beginning. We are already working on extending this functionality to additional product lines so that more areas of your business can benefit from the same streamlined workflow.
At TIMBERplus, every new feature is built with the same goal in mind: helping you work smarter, faster and with a level of clarity that reflects the quality of your materials
and the professionalism of your company.
